Dead is Dead Again, Monster in the Woods and Octoberfeast are three films produced by Filmlab Showcase Pictures which feature footage from various films that are in the public domain. The idea behind this was to bring attention to films that have mainly been forgotten about. Filmlab Showcase Pictures took these public domain films and re-edited footage from several different films then added newly shot footage to piece the new storyline together. Mike Stanley, owner of Filmlab Showcase Pictures said, "I liked the idea because this would make people aware of films they may not have known existed".

 

The idea seems to have had a positive reaction. These new Filmlab titles have sparked interest in the original films. These three titles are no longer available on DVD. This was a limited release.
